Hello! My name is Towanda, owner of KBT Treats and the mother of three boys. Coming from a fun and loving family that loves large gatherings, I vowed to always give my children memorable birthday celebrations. Many years ago, the theme for my second child’s party was Yo Gabba Gabba. Walmart was sold out of that particular cake kit, but if Yo Gabba Gabba was what he wanted, then Yo Gabba Gabba was what he was going to get. Yes, I made the cakes myself!

In no time, I had become a part-time baker along with being a full-time mother, early childhood education coach, and online graduate student.

A special thank you for the abundant blessings I’ve received from my amazing mother and family.

A family friend attended the party, later purchased a cake, and started spreading the word. My customer base quickly began to grow.

My sons, Kyree, Bobby, and Trey were my biggest fans and greatest motivation. Using the first initial of their names, KBT Treats was born!

Although my desire and passion to decorate cakes increased, I was fearful of losing financial stability by walking away from my career to bake full-time. Therefore, I continued working while earning my master’s and I only accepted a few

cake orders whenever my busy schedule permitted me time to do so. Shortly after, I relocated to another state and baked specifically for my family and very close friends. Three years later, I married and gained the help and support of my wonderful husband who built a commercial bakery on our property.

Just like that, I was back in the kitchen handcrafting every order with genuine love. I hope to continue passtionately providing unique specialty products that satisfy my customers and allow me to be their first choice for making any celebration exceptional and worry free. It is my prayer that this is also the plan that God has for me.
